  Local Arts Funding

To support local decision making in public arts funding, NYSCA established funding partnerships with arts and cultural organizations covering every county across the state. There are two distinct local funding programs.

Decentralization
www.decnetwork.com

The local grant making organizations providing support in a wide range of arts disciplines are referred to as Decentralization (DEC) sites. Please refer to this list to find the site serving your area.

The Decentralization sites award funds through a formal application process and review proposals using a local peer panel process. DEC grants range up to a maximum of   $5,000, though awards are typically range between $1000 - $2,500 range. The application deadlines are set by each DEC site, so check your local site for details.

Organizations may not apply for NYSCA support and for DEC support in the same year.

Local Capacity Building / Arts in Education

Small grants are available through a network of funding partners to support arts in education partnership projects. Applicants applying for Local Capacity Building support may not apply to NYSCA's Arts in Education Program in the same year. Please refer to this list to find the LCB regranting site serving your area.
