  Special Projects

Registration deadline: March 3
Application deadlines: April 1, July 1

The Special Projects category offers support for projects in the contemporary visual arts field that do not fit into any of the previously-described funding categories. These requests generally represent short-term, focused opportunities that assist the growth, development, or stabilization of applicant organizations. New applicants are welcome and are encouraged to consult with Program staff in advance of the March registration deadline. This category cannot be used to commission public art or support an individual artist. Requests to this category must demonstrate the potential to advance the applicant organization's mission and goals through investigation of a new direction or more in-depth investigation of a current area.

Note: Applicants are limited to one request in this category.
