Special Projects
Registration deadline: March 3 The Special Projects category offers support for projects in the contemporary visual arts field that do not fit into any of the previously-described funding categories. These requests generally represent short-term, focused opportunities that assist the growth, development, or stabilization of applicant organizations. New applicants are welcome and are encouraged to consult with Program staff in advance of the March registration deadline. This category cannot be used to commission public art or support an individual artist. Requests to this category must demonstrate the potential to advance the applicant organization's mission and goals through investigation of a new direction or more in-depth investigation of a current area. Note: Applicants are limited to one request in this category. Application Instructions The on-line application form includes the following questions, and a project budget. Required support materials are listed below. Application Narrative Questions 1. Project Overview 2. Project Staff 3. Evaluation 4. Finances Support Materials Support material must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the program by the application deadline. Organizations receiving General Operating Support or General Program Support in the Visual Arts Program are not eligible for support in this category. |
