Services to the Field
Registration deadline: February 22, 2011 Grants are available for projects that advance the professional/organizational development of a defined arts constituency or service area. This category supports the delivery of specific service initiatives focusing on long-term developmental objectives of the targeted constituency(ies). Services may include legal and accounting issues, fiscal and organization management, projects that utilize technology to serve the field, professional development for individual artists, and cultural data gathering and analysis that report on the impact of the arts in communities or statewide. Support is also available toward the costs of creating, marketing, and distributing informational materials (newsletters, brochures, booklets, websites, media, etc.) about arts programs and services that broaden public awareness of community cultural events and to expand participation in those activities by organizations, individual artists, and the general public. SLP encourages collaboration between two or more organizations within this category. Application Instructions The online application form includes the questions below. Applicants are also required to submit: online Organizational Budget for the current fiscal year, Project Budget (please use the Budget Notes section to detail income and expense items), Cultural Data Project Report and support materials. Please note that your request amount should not exceed 50% of the total Project Budget. First-time applicants are required to call staff before the registration deadline. IMPORTANT NOTE: Refer to the Instructions for Work Samples and Support Materials prior to submission. NYSCA encourages the submission of Web-based Work Samples and Support Material whenever possible. 1. Representative samples of relevant printed materials (2 copies). 2. Sample questionnaires and in-take forms or evaluations of the services. 3. Listing of program participants, if ongoing. 4. Résumés for consultants, facilitators, speakers, etc. 5. Outreach/promotional plan for proposed service. |
