Registration deadline: March 3
Application deadlines: April 1, July 1, September 5

Support is available toward the costs of creating, marketing, and distributing informational materials (newsletters, brochures, booklets, web sites, media, etc.) about arts programs and services. Publications should be designed to broaden public awareness of community cultural events and to expand participation in those activities by organizations, individual artists, and the general public.


Application Instructions

The on-line application form includes the following questions, and a project budget. Required support materials are listed below.

Application Narrative Questions

1. Project Summary
Describe the proposed information service – its form, frequency, subject matter, etc. – and how providing this service relates to your organizational mission.

2. Audience/Marketing
Describe the audience for this information service. How do you reach this audience to inform them of the service? Describe efforts to reach underserved audiences.

3. Project Goals
Detail the goals of this service in relation to broadening public awareness of community cultural events and services. How does this service help expand public participation in those activities?

4. Evaluation
Describe your plan for evaluating the effectiveness of the information service. How are the results of these efforts used to improve the effectiveness of the service?

5. Finances
Describe your strategy for meeting project expenses from earned and contributed revenues. Please relate this discussion to the project budget figures included in this proposal.


Support Materials

Support materials must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the program by the application deadline. If you want support materials returned, provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.

1. Representative samples of relevant printed materials (2 copies each)

2. If this is a web site project, the address of the site or of a site similar to that proposed

3. Brief resumés or bios of key project personnel (2 copies each)

4. Outreach/promotional plan for proposed service (2 copies)

Organizations receiving General Operating Support or General Program Support from the State & Local Partnership Program are not eligible for support in this category.
