  Administrative Salary Support

Registration deadline: February 22, 2011
Application deadline: April 1, 2011

The category is designed for new applicants to begin the process of professionalizing the organization. Funds awarded in this entry-level category are directed toward the salary of a professional staff position that helps ensure organizational capacity to carry out essential programmatic and developmental activities. Funding is awarded on a single-year basis for up to three years with the expectation that the organization will develop the capability to sustain the position. Grants in this category range from $2,500 to $10,000 and will not exceed 50% of the salary.


Application Instructions

The online application form includes the questions below. Applicants are also required to submit: online Organizational Budget for the current fiscal year, Project Budget (please use the Budget Notes section to detail income and expense items), Cultural Data Project Report and support materials.

Please note that your request amount should not exceed 50% of the total Project Budget.

First-time applicants are required to call staff before the registration deadline.

1. Position Summary
Describe the position for which support is requested and how it is important in helping pursue the organization's goals. How does it fit within your current staff structure?

Managerial/Fiscal

2. Salary/Hours
Indicate whether the position is full or part-time, the number of hours per week, rate of pay (or salary) and any benefits that are provided with this position.

3. Finances
Describe how the organization intends to develop resources to maintain the position into the future. Identify non-NYSCA support allocated to the position.

Service to the Public

4. Qualifications and Recruitment
Describe the qualifications needed for the position and detail your process for recruiting qualified candidates.

5. Supervision/Evaluation
Who will supervise this position and how will the incumbent's performance will be evaluated?
