New Music Facilities
Registration deadline: February 22, 2011 In response to the changing needs of the field, Music supports exploration of the use of computers and other multi-media technologies in music composition and performance. Support is available to institutions that provide musicians with residencies, studio time, technical instruction, and access to equipment. Support is also available for the completion of a specific musical project, including collaborative works. A studio or host organization may apply for support to fully or partially subsidize up to eighty hours of studio time on behalf of one or more specific artists or for a specific number of artists selected through a fair selection process. Application Instructions The online application form includes the questions below. Applicants are also required to submit: online Organizational Budget for the current fiscal year, Project Budget (please use the Budget Notes section to detail income and expense items), Cultural Data Project Report and support materials. Please note that your request amount should not exceed 50% of the total Project Budget. First-time applicants are required to call staff before the registration deadline.
