  Exhibition

Registration deadline: March 3
Application deadlines: May 1, July 1, September 5

Exhibition support is available for the public presentation of film, video, installation work, sound art, and new media offered on-site (in cinemas, community centers, galleries, libraries, museums) or through a variety of communications technologies, including radio and the Internet. Funding is available to a variety of projects, including festivals, series, and year-round programming. The presentation of work by independent artists is strongly encouraged. Programming including youth media, is also welcome. Touring exhibitions that circulate to three or more sites throughout New York State are also encouraged.

New media is making new opportunities for interdisciplinary exhibition. The Program will consider exhibition projects that are predominantly media arts in content. Organizations may not apply to this Program if applying to another discipline program for the same project.

The Program recognizes film as a distinct medium. Film screenings on videotape or DVD are rarely supported, and then only where the film is not available in 16mm or 35mm format.
