  Distribution

Registration deadline: March 3
Application deadlines: May 1, July 1

Funding is available to organizations that distribute the work of more than one artist or production company in film, video, new media, youth media or sound art. Organizations may request support for core distribution activities, marketing, expanding a collection into new formats, closed captioning and subtitling, or packaging of titles into collections. The Program also encourages projects that address changing trends through digital media and new modes of Internet distribution and dissemination.

In most cases, organizations must have distribution contracts with artists for each of the titles being distributed and royalty payments must be assigned to artists. Producing organizations that distribute their own work are not eligible.

The Program encourages the use of consultants through technical assistance for distribution planning before applying in this category.
