  Regrants and Partnerships

This category is exempt from the Council’s two-request limit.

The Council may contract with nonprofit organizations to administer targeted funding programs and technical assistance services in areas not directly funded by the Council. These activities are carried out with funds granted through the Regrants and Partnership category. Funding in the Regrants category is available only at the invitation of the Council.

Administrative costs for delivery of services may vary depending on the nature, depth and scope of the work, but rarely exceed 15% of project costs.

Information on Architecture and Design’s Regrant and Partnership Program “Preserve New York”, as well as technical assistance grants, are available through the Preservation League of New York, which administers these grants. Preserve New York grants support historic structures reports, historic landscape reports and cultural resources surveys. Technical assistance grants support modest projects including building condition assessments. Organizations may apply to both Preserve New York and the New York State Council on the Arts.
